What is the Student Government Association (SGA)?

The Student Government Association is the official voice of the student body at Lincoln College. The SGA was revived during the 2015-2016 academic year, after being dormant for six years. As Lincoln College transitions back to its roots as a four year University, it is important the student body has a voice in official matter of the institution.

The SGA is comprised of two branches, the Executive Branch and Legislative Branch. The SGA has plans to install a Judiciary Branch in 2017-2018.

Student Government Association Initiatives

The It’s On Us initiative — an awareness campaign to help put an end to sexual assault on college campuses. It’s On Us asks everyone — men and women across America — to make a personal commitment to step off the sidelines and be part of the solution to campus sexual assault.

Take the Pledge:

This pledge is a personal commitment to help keep women and men safe from sexual assault .

It is a promise not to be a bystander to the problem, but to be a part of the solution.

To RECOGNIZE that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.

To IDENTIFY situations in which sexual assault may occur.

To INTERVENE in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.

To CREATE an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
